The British Horse Society's first 50 years saw enormous growth in riding as a leisure activity, with the BHS as the driving force in its role as the leading horse charity including horse welfare.
Our recent rapid membership growth has shown that interest in horses and ponies, and equestrianism in general, is greater than ever and support for us as a horse charity is strong in all areas including horse welfare.
The BHS can give you information on a large range of equine welfare issues in the form of leaflets. These can be ordered from the Society for free (with a SAE) and some can be downloaded.
If you are searching for events, we have a list of these including the levels and classes available.
All the latest equine news - including press releases - can be found on the site. We are happy to give you more information if you contact us. Contact details on each issue can been found at the bottom of the press releases.
To find out exactly what work the BHS is doing with Government, check out our Government Affairs Register - (106KB PDF) which is packed with useful information and contact details.
